This project was done for Day 10 of Peachtober 2023, a daily art-making challenge, run every October by llustrator Sha'an d'Anthes, aka Furry Little Peach.
The word for Day 10 was:
Citrus
I wanted to make a poster comparable to a cult classic, Quentin Tarantino-style movie, with a cutesy twist; sort of a Kill Bill meets Adventure Time situation. The outcome? A fight to the death between a group of the world’s most elite citrus fruits, vying for the highly coveted title of Main Squeeze.

I truly had no idea of how I would approach this project. Throwing out random ideas helped me make some connections and come up with something I wouldn’t have thought of otherwise.
